Earning his first Michelin star rating  while serving in the Tapas Molecular Bar at Tokyo’s 6-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Chef Jeff Okada Ramsey’s foundations in Japanese cuisine stem from his training with Masayoshi Kazato, the official Sushi Ambassador of Japan, before he took a detour to develop a bold, experimental style cultivated by renowned Chef José Andrés. 

Now an accomplished practitioner in modernist cuisine, Chef Jeff’s culinary journey has brought him to the heart of Kuala Lumpur – where he has since launched renowned restaurants and pop-ups. His newest venture, Kintsugi Kuala Lumpur, serves as a vessel for the Tokyo-Michelin starred chef to express how best to bring kaiseki and sushi omakase miles away from Japan. 

This is my passion project,” Chef Jeff says. “Kintsugi is a culmination of my experiences, innovated with the utmost respect to the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine and sushi.”
